Art Benefits and Creativity Impacts

Children are masters in art and creativity of their own. Every child is born with ability to observe and explore everything they are exposed to. Art and creativity are the source of the future built on science and technology. Creativity brings new inventions and art allows these inventors to make them applicable in real life.

Art is naturally linked to creativity, an attribute that is increasingly being touted as one of the most important factors for the success of individuals, organizations, and cultures.

Art is vital in children's development. When enganged in hands-on learning, children not only creating some artwork. Creating art may boost young children's ability to analyze and problem-solve in myriad ways, according to Mary Ann F. Kohl, author of Primary Art: It's the Process, Not the Product. As kids manipulate a paintbrush, their fine motor skills improve.

By counting pieces and colors, they learn the basics of math. When children experiment with materials, they dabble in science. Most important perhaps, when kids feel good while they are creating, art helps boost self-confidence. And children who feel able to experiment and to make mistakes feel free to invent new ways of thinking, which extends well beyond the craft room.

Open-ended, process-oriented art is nothing but an endless opportunity for making choices, coming to conclusions, second-guessing decisions, and evaluating results. Children become more comfortable with uncertainty and remain flexible thinkers, which is key for creativity and confidence. The more experience they have with a variety of materials and techniques, the more likely they are to try new combinations and ideas.

The most important thing is art helps kids understand themselves and their world while having fun creating. Art allows them to explore feelings and deal with both daily and significant events. Art materials provide a safe outlet for emotions. Feelings and ideas can be reduced to a manageable size and manipulated as desired. Movement, image, color, line, and imagination all help children express themselves in a multidimensional way—a way that words may not be able to do, or that may be more comfortable for them than words.

Parents and teachers can help kids by offer and provide safe and fun environment for them to express themselves through art, not just to produce an Artist but to raise children who are confident and comfortable with their creativity in whatever form in takes.
